Poppa di Blue, il Baia 49 di 06 Italian Charter, con bandiera italiana al tramonto sul mare

Blue, the Baia 49 from 06 Italian Charter

Fifteen metres and twenty, just one crew for the whole day

06 Italian Charter offers exclusive Blue charters, with just one group on board per trip.

There’s a precise moment when your holiday really begins, and that’s when the harbour closes behind you. From then on, you don’t have to decide anything: someone else takes care of it, and all that’s left for you is the sea.

This is the Blue

Blue is a 15.20-metre Baia 49, powered by twin 550-cavallo Detroit engines and capable of a cruising speed of 22 knots. The port of departure is Porto Badino, Oasi Della Nautica, in Terracina (LT). From there, we organise day trips to Circeo, Sperlonga and Gaeta, as well as mini-cruises to the Pontine Islands.

What you’ll find on board

Blue offers guests spaces designed for a full day at sea. The bow sun deck comfortably accommodates up to five people and is where everyone ends up, sooner or later. The teak bathing platform at the stern has a ladder leading straight into the water, so you’re just a step away from your towel when you take a dip, and an outdoor shower to rinse off the salt without having to go below deck. The cockpit remains in the shade of the awning, with the table set for lunch with crockery and acrylic crystal glasses, the table setting by 06 Italian Charter. The tender is always ready for trips ashore and for reaching places the Blue cannot access. On board, we serve lunch and dinner on request, with a galley where every detail is carefully attended to.

How many guests are boarding?

Blue is authorised to carry a total of 12 people, including the crew. With the basic crew of a captain and a deckhand, who occupy 2 of the 12 berths, we can accommodate up to 10 guests for exclusive use. If you also request a hostess or steward, the crew increases to 3 people and the capacity drops to 9 guests. For overnight trips, the capacity is limited to the number of berths in the cabins – 6 berths, excluding the crew. No other guests will be on board with you: Blue sails exclusively for your group, with no shared departures or timetables to adhere to.

The crew travelling with you

On Blue, you’re never on your own: a dedicated crew accompanies you throughout the day. The skipper knows the southern Lazio coastline well, chooses the route based on the day’s weather and decides where to stop depending on the conditions at the time. The deckhand takes care of moorings, the tender, the ladder and the equipment, and is the person who gives you a hand when you get into the water. On request, we can provide a hostess or steward on board, who will set the table and serve lunch in the cockpit.

Safety on board

06 Italian Charter insures Blue and the guests on board for every trip. Before each departure, we check the safety and navigation equipment: an approved self-inflating life raft, lifejackets for all guests (including children’s sizes), a fixed VHF radio with DSC and a spare handheld unit, a GPS chartplotter with radar and AIS, fire extinguishers and a fire-suppression system in the engine room. The skipper decides on the route, timetable and any postponements based on wind, wave conditions and marine weather forecasts: if a destination cannot be reached safely, he proposes an alternative.

Before casting off

At the entrance to the Oasi Della Nautica, you’ll find free parking reserved for guests and an electric shuttle to take you to the meeting point. We’ll be waiting for you in the lounge area thirty minutes before departure, where a member of the Blue crew will be on hand to welcome you. You’ll board at your leisure, settle in, and the skipper will give a brief briefing on where we’re going and how the boat works.

What is not included and what you need to know before you set off

We do not allow pets on board the Blue. This decision is down to the boat’s open-deck design: the deck gets very hot at midday, there is little proper shade, and there is nowhere for a dog to take shelter. We only anchor Blue in authorised areas, respecting the environmental protection zones of the Marine Protected Areas we encounter along our routes. The rules for protected areas may vary depending on the season: the skipper checks them before every trip. You won’t find prices on this page: please enquire for a quote for the route you’re interested in.
